During the events of The Ninth Gate (1999) played by Jacques Dacqmine

Dean Corso is inspecting the collection of Old Man and tells Old Man's Son and Daughter-In-Law that the collection is worth about $600,000. He then offers to pay them about $4000 for the Old Man's four volume Ibarra edition of Don Quixote and they accept, causing Old Man to clench his fist in anger.
