Bubba is part of a storm chaser team run by Jonas and sponsored by Okla-Tech Severe Weather Research in Oklahoma.
During the events of Twister (1996) played by Abraham Benrubi
Bubba is at a diner while Jonas shoots a video about his Digital Orthographic Telemeter or D.O.T. 3. He help throw off Bill when he attacks Jonas outside the diner. He joins the team as they search for tornadoes in different locations and witnesses Jonas and Eddie being killed when a tornado picks up their truck and slams it into the ground, causing it to explode.
